Daredevil: The Album is the soundtrack for the film Daredevil published in February 2003 by Wind-up Records. All of the songs included in the album were still unreleased and some of the songs were featured in successive releases. "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal" were republished on Fallen.
"Bring Me to Life" was chosen after 20th Century Fox was looking for a song with a female voice to fit a specific scene in the film, which cut back and forth between Elektra and Daredevil.[1] The producers heard a version of it with a rap and they liked it. Originally, it didn't have male vocals, but this was forced by the label to make the music marketable.[1]
"My Immortal" was chosen for the funeral scene after the director Mark Steven Johnson listened to the band's demos.[2]
Note: The version of "My Immortal" released on the soundtrack is the same from Origin, but with added string arrangements by composer Graeme Revell. It was later released as the fourth track on Fallen.
