no, no, don't get me wrong! i love we are the fallen, but the thing tat bites at me is that they actually sound almost exactly like evanescence at the fallen stage of their development. the actual band is not what's getting at me the most, but it is true that ben has fallen just a little from the top to the top of the middle section of fame. evanescence is at the top of the 'fame charts'. everybody knows evanescence, but not as many people know we are the fallen that's all i'm saying. they're trying to do what evanescence is doing but not in exactly the same way, but a similar way.
Yes but you've got to think that it's the same band at that time. Carly Smithson and Amy Lee do have a simular range but they are both still very different. Amy has a soft voice and uses her head-voice more but Carly has a stronger lower range. They are both amazing singers though and are in a pretty good band themselves. If you think they are coping them because they are doing the same gene, what about rap, and pop and techno. Many people in those types of genes sound the same but nodody complains. I don't think Ben was ever that "famous". I don't think non-fans even know the band members names. They just played music and that was really it. Some people liked there songs and fans have obviouly loved there songs.
you obviuosly have a strong sense of loyalty. i think that's really cool. i agree with you and i think that most people wouldn't be able to come up with as convincing an argument as you. that's a nother thing i like about people like you.
what's your name?
i'm emily, sydney is a beautiful city. ever seen it?
cool, how long have you known the evanescence music?
do you go to school?
my friend made me listen to going under about 2 years ago and i've been hooked ever since. she is all like "this is all my fault! she's obbsessed" and she'd be right! they're pretty much all i listen to! Ever!
i got one of my other friends hooked on we are the fallen. this morning actually! it was really funny. i said "i have some realy cool songs i want you to listen to and she is now hooked.
I love the Marvel Movies, Everything Burns was on the Fantastic Four movie soundtrack. Even though it wasn't an Evanescence, Ben Moody was in there and I remembered his name. I saw Daredevil, Bring Me To Life and My Immortal were in it and on the soundtrack and I loved it. Also Bring Me To Life was on singstar and I loved to sing it. I later heard Going Under and I was hooked and got all there songs, funny, we got hooked by the same song :P So then it was all I listened to and now I'm also hooked to We Are The Fallen. Of course Evanescence are better but still are both great.
i do like we are the fallen myself but carly keeps trying to be better than Amy which just isn't gonna work because Amy Lee is the best artist who is releasing music currently and she will be remembered for a long time after she's stopped releasing music.
okay carly is good and their band is good but ben has fallen from the top where he was when he was working with amy.
I wouldn't criticize them that much. The band is not trying to be better, they are actually trying to be something different. Carly isn't trying to be like Amy, she is still Carly and yes I defently agree with you on that Amy is better. I wouldn't say Ben has fallen, he is still working and I think they are all good. Many fans of Evanescence have tried to nit-pick on everything about We Are The Fallen and comparing them to Evanescence. But fans of both are relizing that Evanescence has a new sound to it, the band members of Evanescence created the sound and of course will keep there sound when they are going to make another band together. If you created something with a group of people and then some of you left and made a new band, of course you would use the same sound. You wouln't give your sound to Amy and make a completly different sound.
Hi. Evanescence Wiki looks really fantastic -- I love your skin! And congratulations on reaching 200 pages! That said it would need a couple of tweaks in order to be spotlighted. The main page protection would need to be dropped so it only protects against anonymous and new users editing. And while you have 209 pages, a fair number of them are short and for a spotlight you need to have 200 non-stub pages. Roughly speaking a stub is about 300 bytes or shorter. So you have about 40 pages that would need to be expanded. Let me know here when you've had a chance to work on the content and I'll be happy to look again!
Um, shouldn't we give songs that aren't by Evanescence a different name than "(song)" at the end...? I mean, in the end, it's the Evanescence wiki. It can get kinda confusing if someone's looking on songs.
Hmm.. Okay. But we should take them out of the category "Songs"; since the description of the category says "This is a list of of all (known) songs Evanescence ever made. Click on a song for more." - http://evanescence.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Songs
