"Where Will You Go" is a song by Evanescence. The first version was released on Evanescence EP, while the other version was remade later on with different arrangements for Origin.
Composition
The original EP version starts out with a slow tempo and features no guitars. The organ is the primary (and only) instrument used throughout the song.
David Hodges sings backup vocals on the Origin version. The original EP version is more of a confessional setting, with organs in the background, whereas the Origin version uses electronic sound effects and has a quicker tempo, almost giving the song a dance-beat with background organ sounds. The vocals on the Origin tracks are also smoother, with some changed vocal lyrics.
Lyrics
Origin version
You're too important for anyone But where will you go You think that I can't see right through your eyes But where will you go I'm so sick of speaking words that no one understands And where will you go Yeah yeah, yeah |
EP version
You're too important for anyone Where will you go How ever did you manage to push away But where will you go I'm so sick of speaking words that no one understands And where will you go |
